Voronezh officials reported that air defense systems downed 113 drones during a coordinated overnight attack on October 25 and 26. The strikes caused fires at industrial sites and damaged buildings across the city. Governor Aleksandr Gusev confirmed the engagement to Interfax, stating that 70 drones were shot down directly over the urban center while the total count for the region reached 113.

Ukrainian OSINT channels Supernova+ and Exilenova+ identified two primary targets: the Voronezhsintezkauchuk rubber plant and the Voronezh Aircraft Production Association, or VASO. Voronezhsintezkauchuk is part of the Sibur group and produces synthetic rubbers and polymers. VASO operates under the Ilyushin Aviation Complex and manufactures components for the Ilyushin Il-96 airliner.

The attack followed a pattern of recent aerial engagements in the region. Gusev described the incidents as occurring without major consequences, a description that differs from local media reports of extensive damage. He noted that fires broke out in a business center, an apartment building, two dacha settlements, a school stadium, and a garage cooperative. Debris and blast effects damaged facades and windows in nearly every district.

Russian media outlet Astra provided specific details on impact sites. The publication reported a drone strike on the Galereya Chizhova business center at 35A Koltsovskaya Street. Explosions were also recorded near residential buildings at 52A 25th Yanvarya Street and 4K Arkhitektora Troitskovo Street. Damage was documented at the Uritsky residential complex on 135 Uritskovo Street, and at least ten cars burned in a car park on 275/1 45th Strelkovoy Divizii Street.

Residents reported hearing explosions and the sounds of air defense operations for more than an hour. The city remained shrouded in smoke throughout the engagement. No formal air raid warning was issued before the strikes began. Local authorities are currently assessing the full extent of damage to public and private property.
